- On 3rd October, the Permanent Secretariat will held the side-event “Journalists at Risk: How diplomatic missions can effectively protect journalists and safeguard media freedoms” on the margins of the 54th session of the UN Human Rights Council at 17:00-18:00 Room XXV at the Palais des Nations, Geneva. In this hybrid event the toolkit to provide guidance to diplomatic missions’ personnel in how they can help support journalists in distress and find approaches to provide more effective protection for journalists worldwide developed by the working group Freedom of Opinion and Expression (no longer active) will be presented.
